The Hong Kong Society of Rheumatology Education and Research Foundation (HKSRERF) Limited was set up under governance of the Hong Kong Society of Rheumatology (HKSR), and was incorporated in Hong Kong under the Company Ordinance as a limited company on 15 March 2013.
The HKSRERF initiated The Clinical Rheumatology Systematic Treat-to-target in Asia Leadership (CRYSTAL) Project– an initiative to establish a Hong Kong Early rheumatoid arthritis (RA) Registry. The CRYSTAL online database comprises of longitudinal clinical, safety, imaging and socioeconomic data from patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases. The Asia Pacific League Against Rheumatism (APLAR) SpA registry also serves a similar purpose. The long-term goal of these projects are to enhance disease management and outcome of RA and SpA patients.
